Michael Kossov joined TeamLMP as the new Senior Manager of PreAnalytic Services (formerly Specimen Management), on Aug. 14. Michael’s wealth of experience and leadership in the healthcare and lab setting make him an invaluable addition to our team.
With over 15 years of progressive lab experience in large laboratories in Toronto, Michael brings a breadth of knowledge in overseeing molecular microbiology labs with high throughput and automation. His expertise in managing equipment, safety protocols, and lab accreditation requirements will undoubtedly strengthen our PreAnalytic Services.
Notably, Michael’s latest role as Lab Supervisor at Shared Hospital Lab showcases his ability to ensure efficient operations, adherence to quality control, and collaboration in complex laboratory settings.
During his two years as a Resource Technologist (Team Lead) at SickKids Hospital, Michael played a pivotal role in managing a high-volume Molecular Microbiology Lab, including Covid testing and genomic sequencing.
Michael’s proficiency as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, coupled with his certifications in Occupational Health and Safety and Infection Prevention and Control, align perfectly with the demands of his new role.
