To celebrate LMP’s pathology and advanced diagnostics labs moving into the MaRS West tower, LMP held a ribbon cutting, inviting all staff involved in the move to tour the space and be some of the first to cross the bridge from Toronto General Hospital to MaRS.
The event, specifically focused on our internal teams, was to show appreciation and recognition to those who have been involved from day one. Team LMP has shown tremendous patience through various challenges in the move, and it seemed only right, that the teams who ultimately will be working in the MaRS space day-in, day-out are some of the first to visit. There will likely be another tour for UHN’s senior leaders and executives at a later date, but this was for us!
In addition to our internal teams, the labs move to MaRS is possible thanks to the support of UHN leadership along with Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, and will help sustain turnaround times as patient volumes increase and the needs of our clinical partners become more complex.
The physical move will take place over four weeks, beginning September 9.
Congratulations to all involved!
