Dr. Stephen Smith completed his medical training at the University of Toledo – College of Medicine in 2013. He then went on to complete his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and an Endocrine, Head and Neck (EHN) Pathology fellowship at Yale University. After completing his EHN fellowship Dr. Smith returned to Ohio State to complete a second fellowship in Dermatopathology.
Now, Dr. Smith joins UHN Laboratory Medicine Program as an EHN and Dermatopathology staff pathologist.
His research interests include Pathology Quality Improvement and its correlation with physician disengagement/wellness, as well as genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underpining head and neck carcinogenesis.
