LMP driving convergence of care on USCAP world stage

With over 25 LMP staff contributing to the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology’s (USCAP) Annual Meeting, TeamUHN was well represented as was LMP’s vision for world class precision diagnostics.

A big congratulations to all who taught and presented! In total, the Academy received more than 3,000 abstracts for this year’s meeting and with only top tier research destined for platform and poster sessions – LMP has a lot to be proud of.

In total LMP was represented through:

  • 4 Oral Presentations – (Drs. Runjan Chetty, Hyang Mi Ko, Sangeetha N Kalimuthu, Joerg Schwock and Ilan Weinreb)
  • 25 Poster Presentations – (Drs. Oyedele Adeyi, Prashant Bavi, Scott Boerner, José-Mario Capo-Chichi, Runjan Chetty, Blaise Clarke, Sandra Fischer, Hyang Mi Ko, Ozgur Mete, Anna Marie Mulligan, Sara Pakbaz, Prodipto Pal, Bayardo Perez-Ordonez, Joerg Schwock, Stefano Serra, Adam Smith, Blerta Starova, Tracy Stockley, Ming Tsao, Rajkumar Vajpeyi, Theodorus Van Der Kwast, Cuihong Wei, Ilan Weinreb, Daniel Xia and Laura Ranich)
  • 7 courses/seminars/society meetings – (Drs. Carol Cheung, Blaise Clarke, Andrew Evans, and Ozgur Mete)
  • 2 positions on USCAP Societies – (Dr. Carmen Avila-Casado, Secretary, Renal Pathology Society and Dr. Theodorus Van der Kwast, President, International Society of Urological Pathology)

USCAP’s Annual Meeting is one of the largest stages for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in the world, and our footprint on the week’s events speaks volumes to the clinical care, research and education being driven at UHN. Congratulations again to all those involved!
