This week, Nayana Sondi, Application Specialist, Laboratory Information Systems was ‘infected’ by the LMP Q&A BUG. The nomination came from our previous Q&A BUG ‘victim,’ David Feng. Check out David’s photo Q&A, HERE.
As an Application Specialist for the Laboratory Medicine Program, Nayana ensures the proper operation of programs and applications in the Histocompatibility Lab and various UHN Blood Labs. She will address anomalies in day-to-day operations and see to fixing any issues staff are having with laboratory software.
Nayana will also produce reports and keep record of application issues.
One of her responsibilities is tracking test turnaround times. The information compiled by Nayana can show trends in testing and help management and UHN as a whole address any issues that may cause increases in test turn around times or allow for improvements. The reports Nayana produces can ultimately lead to changes and improvements in laboratory testing at LMP.
