LMP’s Dr. Ming-Sound Tsao has been chosen to receive the “Mary Matthews Pathology Award” by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
The Mary Matthews Pathology Award, named after one of the one of the founders of the IASLC Pathology Panel, is given to an IASLC member for lifetime scientific achievement in pathology-translational research of thoracic cancers. The award recognizes Dr. Tsao’s extraordinary contributions to the association and his work toward advancing the science of lung cancer, his commitment to research excellence and utmost devotion to serving as a leader in laboratory medicine.
The IASLC is a global organization dedicated to studying lung cancer and providing support to their members who work on improving the understanding of lung cancer among scientists, the medical community and the public. IASLC also publishes the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, a resource for medical specialists and scientists who focus on the detection, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer
