Did you know that several of your Laboratory Medicine Program colleagues spent their morning riding up and down University Avenue, waving flags and clacking noise makers – in a Big Bike all in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation?
Once again the “Asa’s Aces” team took to the streets (even if it was a little chilly!) and pedaled their way from the front of Toronto General Hospital and out onto University Avenue. With almost 30 colleagues from around the program – including a couple of pathologists – the team did a terrific job fundraising over $5,000 for a great cause.
#3 (tied) Melissa Skarban and Jennifer Hardaker – $500
# 2 Gisele Thrope – $1023
# 1 Yvonne Bedford – $1525
Heart & Stroke Big Bike is a unique opportunity for us to work together and have some FUN while raising funds for heart and stroke research and education. You should join next year!
Last year, over 65,000 riders, in over 200 communities, helped raise over $8.4 million for research! This is helping us achieve even greater results that change the lives of not only heart and stroke patients, but all Canadians.
